LYNDON TERRACINI - Chairman of the Board

Lyndon Terracini

Lyndon Terracini is the Artistic Director of Opera Australia, and has also enjoyed a highly successful international opera career as well as a successful career as an actor, director and writer. He was appointed Artistic Director and CEO of the Queensland Music Festival in July 2000 and directed the 2001, 2003 and 2005 Festivals.

He was appointed Artistic Director/CEO of Brisbane Festival in 2005 and Artistic Director/CEO of Major Brisbane Festivals in November 2007. In 2014, Lyndon's service to the performing arts as an opera performer, director and administrator was recognised with a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

CONAL COAD - Director

Conal Coad

Conal Coad was born in New Zealand and is Australia and New Zealand's leading bass. During his highly successful career he has performed in Paris and other major French cities. He has also performed in many European opera houses including Hamburg, Geneva, Lisbon, Venice, Bologna, Naples, Madrid and Brussels and also often in Tokyo.

He has sung in Covent Garden and throughout the UK. In America he has performed in New York and Washington, and also in Israel.

Conal performs regularly for Opera Australia, singing many principal bass roles and has performed regularly for all the major Australian opera companies.

Concert work includes the major Australian orchestras, Israel Philharmonic, Royal Opera House, Japan, Kensington Palace, La Monnaie Brussels, NZSO, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and festivals in France, Belgium, and New Zealand.

Conal regularly adjudicates major singing competitions in Australia and New Zealand. He has recorded both CDs and DVDs.


Mike Gasson

A Fellow of CPA Australia (Certified Public Accountants), Michael held senior accounting positions with Public Listed Corporations prior to commencing public practice in 1975, becoming a principal partner in a Chartered Accountancy practise for approximately 30 years. During this time he also held positions as Company Secretary and a Director of Public Listed Corporations involved in the mining and resource sector.

Upon leaving public practice in 2005 Michael held the position of CEO of a group of Private Companies involved in a range of business activities based in Perth Western Australia. He has also had significant experience in supporting not-for-profit activities involved in the arts, sport and cultural areas.
